Who we are
We are the UK's leading bowel cancer charity
And we're determined to saves lives and improve the quality of life for everyone affected by bowel cancer.
Every 30 minutes someone in the UK dies of bowel cancer. It’s the UK’s fourth most common cancer, and the second biggest cancer killer. Yet it doesn’t have to be this way. If diagnosed early, it’s treatable and curable.
Our vision is a future where nobody dies of the disease.
We provide expert information and support to patients and their family
We campaign for early diagnosis and access to best treatment and care
We support and fund research so more people survive bowel cancer
We educate the public and professionals about the disease
Our five year strategy
In July 2023 we launched our new five-year strategy, 'On a Mission'. This set out how we'll continue to work relentlessly towards our vision of a future where nobody dies from bowel cancer.
There are four goals that form the building blocks of our strategy:
Goal one: Increase awareness and understanding of bowel cancer
Goal two: Remove the barriers to people being diagnosed quickly and at the earliest possible stage
Goal three: Get the right treatment and care to every patient
Goal four: Support people to cope better with bowel cancer
